As a doula, I understand that having the right support team is vital for a positive pregnancy and birth experience. You deserve to feel calm, confident, and ready for whatever lies ahead. That's where I come in.

My goal is to guide you through this transformative transition into parenthood, in a way that makes sense to you. As your doula, I'll be available to you from now until your baby is in your arms. You will always have someone to address your questions, ease your worries, and help you make informed decisions that work for you, your family, and your birth.

Doulas provide evidence-based information and education to clients, helping them make informed decisions about their birth and postpartum. Doulas explain medical procedures, birthing options, and possible interventions, empowering clients to advocate for their preferences.

Doulas use various techniques to enhance physical comfort during labor to reduce pain and discomfort and promote relaxation. They offer a compassionate presence, actively listen, and create a nurturing environment, Doulas often form strong bonds with their clients, offering reassurance and a sense of security.

Unlike medical professionals who come and go during your labor, doulas offer continuous support throughout labor and birth. They are typically available by phone or in person as soon as labor begins, offering guidance and encouragement during this intense and transformative experience.

Doulas act as advocates for their clients, ensuring their wishes and birth plans are respected by medical professionals. They facilitate communication between clients and the healthcare team, helping clients feel heard and understood.

What made you want to become a doula?

I first became interested when I was expecting my first child. I had a lot of questions, but I struggled to find someone to answer my questions. I found myself having to research to get my answers. I studied so much I noticed I started helping other expecting moms answer their questions. That was over 8 years ago. Still to this day I have moms who reach out to me about labor and delivery. I figured since I had a passion for it and get a lot of people who ask for my help, I mind as well become certified.

What prior work experiences enhance your work as a doula? What are your transferable skills?

I have offer childbirth classes through a local community outreach for the last 3 years.

I worked as a breast pump consultant for a breast pump company for 3 years. By working for that company, I gain a lot of knowledge about breastfeeding and pumping.

I have been a doula for 5 women so far within the last 2 years.

Do you volunteer anywhere, why?

I currently help a local community outreach provide childbirth class. I will soon offer breastfeeding classes as well. I work with this organization because it specializes in helping minority families, low-income families and middle-class families.

With whom do you live?

My husband of 10 years and our 4 children (3 boys ages 8, 6 and 3, we just welcomed out 1st girl in august 2023)

What do you like to do when you aren’t working? What are your hobbies?

I am a youth pastor in my church. If I am not working, I am working with local youth. I also do multiple gatherings for young women who have low self-esteem, suffered sexual abuse or need self-love techniques. I was once broken and want to make sure I can help as many people as I can.

A Doula doesnt empower you she simply encoruages, comforts and honors you as you use the pqoer you had all along!

Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers... strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength.

I believe that in every birth there is a great story, because each child comes with his or her own uniqueness.

During your FREE 30-minute consultation, we'll discuss your pregnancy, your desired outcomes for birth and postpartum, and how doula support will help you in reaching these goals. Later in your pregnancy, we'll meet for prenatal sessions and create a plan for the birth you envision. You will have round-the-clock access to phone, text, and email support for all of your questions, concerns, and worries, and I will be available 24/7 leading up to your baby's arrival. After baby’s here, I’m just a text message away for help with recovery, feeding, and adjusting to life as a parent.
